An electrifying week in Braunschweig!

Roel Bisselink (WUR) & Luciana Vieira (Fraunhofer)

Power2Hype was represented by partenrs in the Electrochemistry 2024 conference, organised in Braunschweig, between the 16 and 19 of September 2024.

The Electrochemistry 2024 conference, organized by the German Chemical Society (GDCh), was a remarkable gathering of industry experts and academia. A major topic of the conference was the advancements on electrochemical-driven conversion processes to defossilise the chemical industry in which the Power2Hype project made a strong impression with its significant contributions.

Our project coordinator, Luciana Vieira of Fraunhofer IGB, delivered an insightful presentation outlining the objectives and current status of Power2Hype, highlighting its pivotal role in the transition towards greener, more sustainable H2O2 production process.

Roel Bisselink, from Wageningen Food and Biobased Research, presented groundbreaking research on the importance of membrane electrode assemblies in the cathodic reduction of oxygen to H2O2 within a dual membrane electrolyser. This technology is crucial for improving efficiency in electrochemical conversion processes, which lie at the heart of the #Power2Hype project’s mission.
