Power2Hype hits key milestone – First Review Meeting successfully done!
The partners of Power2Hype gathered on the 30th September 2024 at Solvay’s headquarters in Brussels to mark a key milestone: the project’s first review meeting with the European Commission.
The Review Meeting
This meeting represented a crucial moment for Power2Hype. During the meeting the consortium presented key advancements toward developing a sustainable electrochemical hydrogen peroxide production process. The consortium also received constructive feedback on optimising process performance and further aligning the project’s outcomes with EU sustainability targets. The reviewers acknowledged the project’s significant milestones, which lays the groundwork for future upscaling and commercialisation.
Visit to the Solvay site for Power2Hype Pilot Plant
As part of the day, the partners were given an exclusive tour of Solvay’s facilities, where the Power2Hype pilot plant will be located. This installation is at the heart of the project’s efforts to scale up innovative hydrogen peroxide production technologies.
Next steps
Power2Hype consortium remains committed to refine and optimise the technologies for sustainable hydrogen peroxide production. Thereby we contribute to the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality goals by providing a CO2-free alternative to the traditional anthraquinone process for H2O2 production. The consortium looks forward to the next phases of development and continued collaboration within its partners and stakeholders.
